ABOUT LAKAW LANG

Just walk.

Lakaw Lang is a simple hands-free walking coach for outdoor and treadmill walks. It keeps track of your intervals and gives you voice cues so you can focus on moving instead of watching the clock.

WHY I BUILT IT

Hi, I’m Lynnell, and I love walking.

I started Lakaw Lang because I wanted to use interval walking in my own routine without constantly checking a timer.

Outside, I wanted to keep my attention on the walk. On a treadmill, I also wanted clear reminders for when to change pace and, when I choose to use it, incline.

So I built a small tool that handles those cues for me. I originally made it for myself, then decided to share it in case it could make walking a little easier for someone else too.

THE NAME

What does “Lakaw Lang” mean?

Lakaw is a Bisaya/Cebuano word for walking or going on foot. Lang adds the simple feeling of “just.”

For this project, the spirit of the name is simple: Just walk.

You do not need the perfect setup. Walk outdoors or use a treadmill. Adjust the workout to what works for you, then get moving.

THE PROJECT

Small, independent, and free to use.

Lakaw Lang is an independent project developed by Lynnell Neri. The goal is to keep the app simple, practical, and useful without turning the walking experience into something complicated.

Features will continue to improve over time, but the core idea stays the same: make it easier to start walking and stay focused while you do it.
