What Lakaw Lang stores on your device

The app uses your browser’s local storage to remember information that makes the walking experience work:

• Your workout settings, such as mode, rounds, timing, speed, incline, and audio preferences.
• Your current workout state while a workout is active or paused, so the app can offer to continue after an accidental refresh.

Lakaw Lang’s application code does not send those saved settings or workout state to a Lakaw Lang account or profile server.

Offline use and browser features

Lakaw Lang uses a service worker and browser cache so important app files can remain available after the app has been loaded. It also uses browser features such as speech synthesis, Web Audio, and Screen Wake Lock when supported.

These features are used for voice guidance, countdown tones, offline availability, and keeping the screen awake during an active workout. Browser and operating-system behavior can vary by device.

Analytics, ads, and cookies

Lakaw Lang currently does not use advertising trackers or analytics scripts, and its application code does not set tracking cookies.

Like most websites, the hosting provider and network infrastructure may process technical request information such as an IP address, browser information, and requested page in order to deliver and secure the site. Lakaw Lang does not use that information to build advertising profiles.

External links and support payments

Lakaw Lang links to third-party websites such as research sources, social platforms, LinkedIn, and Wise. When you leave Lakaw Lang, the privacy practices of that service apply.

The GCash / InstaPay QR on the Support page is a static payment QR. The Lakaw Lang website itself does not collect your card, bank, or wallet details when you scan it. Wise payments are handled on Wise’s website. Payment providers may process or share transaction information according to their own terms and privacy policies.

If you email Lakaw Lang

If you choose to contact Lakaw Lang by email, the message you send and your email address are received so the message can be read and answered. That contact information is not sold to advertisers.

The email address is not printed directly in the page markup. Instead, the contact button assembles it in your browser, which helps reduce simple automated email scraping. It cannot guarantee that all spam will be prevented.

Changes to this page

If Lakaw Lang later adds accounts, analytics, cloud sync, new payment tools, or another feature that changes how information is handled, this page should be updated to explain the change.

If you want to clear locally saved Lakaw Lang data now, you can clear this site’s storage through your browser settings. Doing so may remove saved workout settings and any recoverable workout state.
